TGIF, readers!
Let’s wrap up the week with an update regarding Netmore Group and IoTech.
Netmore Group is an organization we covered last month right here on Smart City Sentinel. As a dedicated IoT operator and all-around effective smart solutions provider, Netmore Group believes that the world, quote, “has never been in a greater need of sustainable solutions than it is today.” Digitalization, in their eyes, is clearly a hefty part of the answer to the sustainability challenge; trustworthy, scalability-focused, resource-efficient technologies that create significant impacts for businesses and society overall is clearly the way to go. On top of all that, Netmore Group’s tirelessly future-proofed solutions are actively being utilized across Europe; they’re already in the process of building what is becoming, quote, “the fastest-growing Pan-European LoRaWAN network,” making the digitally powered protection of vital environmental resources a bona fide economic imperative. From logistics applications and energy monitoring to utilities and property management, the acceleration of innovation and resource conservation in tandem is the Netmore Group special, in a manner of speaking.

Now, IoTech.
The team at IoTech provides LoRaWAN network solutions for IoT devices, making it easier to manage and optimize city infrastructure while also promoting safety and sustainability. (So, right in line with Netmore Group.) By utilizing strategic partnerships with leading vendors, contractors and integrators to deliver customized services, Athens, Greece-headquartered IoTech has become a well-trusted name by the likes of Cisco, Cosmote Mobile Telecommunications, Logicom Solutions and plenty of others. Additionally, IoTech avails comprehensive radio planning for LoRaWAN networks, efficient gateway and device installations, an easy-to-use cloud-based monitoring portal, and more. Smart parking, smart water and gas metering, smart lighting and waste management; the list goes on when it comes to what IoTech has on offer.
Well, as of this week, the two have made a pretty darn smart decision to come together.
Per our headline, Netmore Group was selected by IoTech — specifically, Netmore’s Operator Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) — to deliver LoRaWAN connectivity and a variety of IoT applications to its customers across Greece.
Here’s a great excerpt from the official announcement:
“Netmore’s Operator PaaS enables network operators like IoTech to easily deploy and operate LoRaWAN networks, combining future-proof connectivity with carrier-grade reliability for the delivery of critical infrastructure and essential business applications.”
The fruit’s of this partnership’s labors, so to speak, are already paying off in spades. IoTech has already started the migration of thousands of devices to Netmore's platform and will reportedly deploy other brand-new devices using Netmore’s PaaS, thereby eliminating separate fees for gateway deployments and platform usage “in favor of Netmore's cost-effective per-device pricing model,” also per the announcement.
"The rapid adoption of LoRaWAN for municipal applications requires a dedicated focus, and IoTech's technical expertise and innovation in the smart city market make them an ideal partner,” stated Martin Flenhagen, Business Developer, Netmore Group. “We’re excited to have IoTech join our growing Operator PaaS ecosystem and look forward to jointly developing the LoRaWAN market in Greece. This collaboration will provide customers of both Netmore and IoTech with access to an enhanced network footprint for many business critical applications.”
Adding to this, IoTech General Manager Georgios Stefanidis expressed that “Partnering with Netmore allows us to provide best-in-class LoRaWAN network infrastructure for our smart city solutions. Netmore not only offers a true carrier-grade platform that can scale with our growth, but their commercial model, infrastructure partnerships, and partner-focus seamlessly support our efforts to deploy and monetize digital transformation initiatives across the region. Together, we will power Greece’s cities of the future and the sustainability initiatives within them.”
